The nukhu foundation serves as an advocate for and provides fiscal and educational support to emerging artists and filmmakers, such as grants, mentorships, and job training.

THE NUKHU FOUNDATION

The nukhu community has contributed to charitable causes since 2010. The NUKHU FOUNDATION is a not-for-profit organization that strives for media diversity and representation of humanity regardless of financial incentive.

The entertainment industry is extremely competitive as a business and the metrics of profitability and success are diminutive compared to its cultural significance. Legacy business relationships have excluded talent diversity and have resulted in an overwhelming amount of media that is disproportionately owned by a uniform, wealthy class of global industrialists.

In an effort to help eliminate prejudice and discrimination within our local community, the NUKHU FOUNDATION will prioritize spending and resources of all programs including grants, mentorships, and training to applicants of underserved and underrepresented communities. These communities include members with ethnic backgrounds such as: Black, Asian, Amerindian/Alaska native, native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and mixed ethnicity.

Everyone has a story, but with the gloat of digital information, not everyone has the financial means to share their story in a compelling way. Often, within the field of arts & culture, spending equates to quality and prominence. The NUKHU FOUNDATION will provide creative, technical and fiscal support for artists that do not have the financial means or resources to develop, produce, or market their stories. Eligibility for all programs is determined using location, ethnicity, total income, and source of income.

Programs are open to all artists with a U.S. Tax Identification Number. Artists who live in the U.S. but work overseas are welcome to apply.
