Host a Panel at Nukhufest 2026
Want to lead a conversation with filmmakers, media artists, critics, journalists, technologists, or cultural organizers?
Nukhufest 2026 will include select panel, workshop, and presentation blocks during our September 11 through September 17 festival week at Cinema Village in Lower Manhattan.
Theater #1 is a 155 seat theater with a stage, chairs, and microphones for live conversations. A panel can be a solo presentation, a moderated conversation, a multi-speaker discussion, a workshop, or a conversation followed by a screening.
Submit a concept for consideration no later than August 20th.
What a Panel Can Look Like:
A Nukhufest panel can be a solo presentation, moderated conversation, multi-speaker discussion, workshop, screening conversation, or live Q&A.
Theater #1 at Cinema Village has 155 seats, a stage, chairs, and microphones. A film or video may be shown at the start of the program if it supports the topic.
Films or videos shown as part of a panel do not need to be official Nukhufest competition selections.
Panel topics should connect to independent film, media, journalism, storytelling, culture, technology, funding, distribution, criticism, audience building, or the future of creative work.
Example topics:
The solution for media journalists: The Nuvee Club
Audience-powered cinema
How independent filmmakers build sustainable audiences
What happens after the festival circuit
Short films as proof of concept
AI, authorship, and creative labor
Building a media community without algorithms
Film criticism in the age of social media
Panel proposals are reviewed by Nukhu before being added to the official festival schedule.
Applications close August 20, 2026.
