As a kid, Casey spent his time in and around local theater productions and exploring D.C. on his BMX. Then, he moved to New York to attend NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts to pursue a degree in Film and Television. After graduating, he made a name for himself as a DP shooting documentaries and branded content, as well as exploring new technologies. Eventually, he transitioned to directing commercial content and developing interactive narrative projects. He’s gone on to direct projects for Nike, The New York Times, IBM, American Express, David Bowie, and many more.
Casey has been heavily involved in the intersection of live-action film, narrative-driven video game design, and emerging technology for almost a decade. In 2018, he and his writing partner, Ben Zeiger, were honored to be a part of the “N.O.W.” program at The Tribeca Film Festival. In 2019, he and Ben’s interactive film, Holy Night, premiered at The New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center where they hosted a talk about the power and future of interactive media. In 2020, they opened LWT Interactive. He and Ben are currently developing a slate of interactive series and features. Learn more about Casey at https://www.caseystein.com/.
