The NUKHU FOUNDATION is connected to a network of professional mentors that suit the qualifications for artists seeking business or creative guidance. The board of directors actively mentor the youth and uprising talent for the entertainment industry in their current positions.

Mentors host in-person and virtual office hours, available to all mentees, for media career development and networking. Office hours are available in groups or one-to-one, upon request, and during scheduled and posted hours.

One-to-One Mentorship

Our one-to-one mentorship program is currently run by Director Sanjay Singh and provides at least three new mentee-mentor matches every year for at least 4 months, then with ongoing phone call availability and feedback afterwards.

Digital Mentorship

The digital mentorship program features a 2-month or 8-week period where a mentor will be matched to help a mentee work on a specific goal for the entertainment industry.

Mentors must have contributed to the NUKHU FOUNDATION’s missions and goals prior to being matched with a mentee and must participate in a one-to-one conversation with a representative to determine eligibility. Past mentees may apply to become a mentor after successfully completing the mentorship program.

All mentors will be provided with youth mentorship training and familiarized with our case management protocols to ensure proper communication with mentors and mentees.

Mentors are determined on an annual basis and announced on the nukhufoundation.org website in the Fall every year with availability for the following new year.

Mentees can apply until the end of the year by submitting an application for mentorship. Applicants must be 13 years or older and from an underrepresented ethnic community located anywhere in the United States. There is no application fee.

Mentors are matched with Mentees at the start of every new year for an 8-week period of time where mentors will follow up with mentees weekly on their goal progress and provide guidance and assistance.

Mentors are encouraged to stay in communication with mentees, as needed, after the mentorship program and continue fostering positive youth development. Mentees are encouraged to provide feedback based on their mentorship experience. Our goal is to grow this program to provide mentorship for over 100 mentees a year.
