Media & Entertainment Training

Filmmaking is a technical art incorporating aspects of physics and chemistry. The craft skills required to develop and produce video art must be learned, practiced, and improved upon. The NUKHU FOUNDATION works with long-time filmmaking professionals to provide access to expert training for the next generation of media creators. Students are able to acquire video development, production, and post-production skills and contribute to the media and entertainment industries.

Applicants must be 18 years or older and from an underrepresented ethnic community located anywhere in the United States. There is no application fee.

All workshops are currently available in-person for free given all regulatory, safety, and health protocols are met. Some workshops are limited to less than 20 students to provide adequate attention per student.

Our organization aims to expand the frequency and variety of our available workshops to the public and into training specifically for directing, writing, design, sound, and editing. Workshops will include subjects such as critical thinking, equipment use, applied techniques, and social networking with the goal of establishing enough background experience to start a career in filmmaking.
